Our goal is to finally remove the stigma that has been attached to language learning - a result of a fundamentally flawed education system. We want to prove that it needn't be painful, inconvenient or expensive to learn a foreign language; in fact it should be quite the opposite.

Our goal is to build a system that can tap into the natural predisposition that we all have, to constantly learn. We want to remove the barriers to learning a new language so that anyone can enjoy it's enormous benefits. We think that ought to be seen as an opportunity to grow.

We've built a system called uLAS (uSpeak Language Acquisition System) that replicates the way that our brain processes the relationship between words and their meaning. uLAS creates totally unique game-driven learning experiences for every user.

We've taken principles from applied linguistics, neuroscience, behavioural psychology and gamification to tap into your natural ability to learn, rather than just dragging you through a minefield of soul destroying flash cards or multiple choice translation questions.

We propose a language learning methodology that combines learning the true meaning of words in a natural way through gameplay, with reading, watching and listening to real, high-value content produced in the countries and cultures represented by the language you are learning.
